the cottage is ideally placed for local and regional trips. it is in the heart of the 'subbetica' park, an area of outstanding natural beauty, with its abundance of flora and fauna. iznajar is an historic medival town a short drive away. here you will find banks, chemists, supermarkets and all the day to day ammenities you require. the old town is typical and sleepy, with its cobbled streets, church and cemetary and is well worth a visit. the town overlooks a 20km lake, which is the region's largest and most spectacular with fishing [carp & barbel], sailing and swimming.

casa quatro vientos is also within easy reach of the towns of priego de cordoba and antequerra, aswell as an abundance of pretty white mountain villages. priego boasts a stunning collection of baroque churches and antequerra the spectacular 'el Torcal' natural park. the historic cities of cordoba, granada and seville are 1-2 hours easy drive and are a must for your fill of real spanish culture - there are good guides and maps in the cottage that you are welcome to use.
